Sharland Steelworks is an independent South Yorkshire metalwork business specialising in bespoke fabrication, heritage-inspired designs and one-off pieces made with character.

With over 15 years of experience in welding and fabrication, I started Sharland Steelworks to create metalwork that goes beyond the ordinary — combining traditional influences, considered design and modern fabrication techniques to produce pieces that feel individual to the property, space or customer.

A lot of our work takes inspiration from traditional British metalwork and architectural details. From restoring the character of a period property with sympathetic gates and ironwork, to taking elements from an existing design and creating something completely new, the aim is always to make work that looks like it belongs.

But we’re not limited to traditional designs. Some of the most interesting projects start with nothing more than an idea, sketch or photograph. Whether it’s a unique garden feature, statement entrance, architectural detail or something that doesn’t quite fit into a category, we enjoy turning those ideas into carefully crafted steelwork.
